The table shows combinations covered by our guides, not every supported client or system. Check the developer's current downloads, minimum OS, processor requirements and pricing.
On Mac, distinguish Apple Silicon from Intel. Check Shadowrocket's Mac requirements in the App Store, and match desktop packages for Clash Verge Rev or FlClash to your processor and OS.

Different clients need different subscription formats
In the workspace, use Shadowrocket / general subscription for Shadowrocket, and Clash subscription for Clash Verge Rev or FlClash. Both represent your own access, but use different configuration formats; changing a file extension to YAML does not convert it.
After saving a subscription link, update and activate the profile, select a node and enable the connection. For format errors or an empty node list, check the complete URL, account validity and the expected format.
- Copy the complete link from your own workspace and retain its parameters.
- Import your personal subscription on your own devices rather than a public conversion site.
- Menu labels can vary by version and language; follow the current client and its documentation.
System Proxy and TUN address different routing needs
Desktop System Proxy affects apps that follow OS proxy settings. A working browser does not prove your terminal, games, containers or SDKs use the same configuration. Check the affected program's proxy behavior before choosing TUN.
Clash Verge Rev documents TUN for programs that do not follow System Proxy. Configure the required service or permissions using official guidance, test ordinary browsing, then the target app. Mobile clients establish a connection through system VPN permission.
Check app, VPN and AI costs separately
Clash Verge Rev and FlClash are open-source projects; Shadowrocket is purchased separately through the App Store. Client costs, HKUVPN plans and AI memberships or API usage are separate. Installing a client does not activate a VPN plan.
Choose a client for your device, establish ordinary browsing, then evaluate latency, throughput and the target app. Repeatedly changing clients does not automatically improve routing or third-party service permissions.
